Estelle Midler received her MSc in Environmental and Agricultural Economics in 2008, together with an Engineering Degree in Agricultural Sciences, and her PhD in Economics (Incentive Mechanisms and negative environmental externality: the case of tropical deforestation) in 2012 from Supagro Montpellier (France) where she joined the research unit LAMETA (Theoretical and Applied Economics Research Unit of Montpellier).
She was a teaching assistant at the University of Montpellier (2008-2012) for undergraduate students (Statistics and Mathematics).
Her research fields concern environmental economics, public economics and experimental economics (and incidentally game theory). She is specializing in the biodiversity and forest economics.
Her work focuses on how to design incentive instruments to protect biodiversity efficiently and provide ecosystem services (such as climate mitigation and adaptation).
