Short CV

With a Master Degree in Economics from the Université Paris Dauphine (France) and the J.W. Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main (Germany) I started working in the field of economics of adaptation to climate change at the Organisation for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) in 2007. After subsequent assignments within NGOs like Oxfam France and the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, I joined the Mozambique United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Disaster Risk Reduction / Adaptation to Climate Change (DRR/ACC) Unit, in 2012.

At BC3, I am undertaking research on the economics of adaptation. I have been working on two main publications:

1. A litterature-based inventory of adaptation cost in the agricultural sector drawing upon the knowledge on sustainable land management practices while linking climate change and soil degradation research.

2. A case study in Zanzibar (Tanzania) assessing the profitability of adaptation options in clove tree plantations extending a classical cost-benefit to decision tree analysis.

I am currently working at Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) within the ALICE RISE Project on the application of a resilience framework to the Belfast wastewater infrastruture.

My research interest are oriented towards the approach to uncertainty treatment through the lens of the development vs. adaptation deficit.

Other research interests cover the link between human consciousness and the envrionment.

Languages: French, German, Romanian, English, Mozambican Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.
