Ambika Markanday


Short CV

Ambika works on economic and behavioural aspects related to climate change adaptation, with a particular focus in cities. She received a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester in 2011 and an MSc in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from University College London in 2014. In 2020, she obtained her PhD on the economics of climate change adaptation and decision-making in cities from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).

Ambika has been with the Basque Centre for Climate Change for 4 years working on various research projects, including the H2020 projects ECONADAPT, RESIN and COACCH and the Gobernadapt project (funded by the Basque Cooperation Agency).
