Ester is a transdisciplinary researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), conducting a PhD in Political Science at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her research focuses on how meaningful citizen participation may contribute to climate governance and the delivery of just, effective and legitimate climate action.
She has significant experience in Horizon Europe projects such as Paris Reinforce or SSH Centre.
She holds an MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation (2019, HEC Paris), a BSc in Environmental Engineering (2016, Polytechnic University of Madrid), and a BSc in Journalism (2022, Complutense University of Madrid). Her previous experience is related to participatory processes in integrated water management and individual and community involvement in sustainability in the non-profit sector.
