Short CV

Céline Moreaux is a postdoctoral researcher at BC3 with an interdisciplinary focus on biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and ecological economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Macroecology and Environmental Economics (2021) and a Masters in Forest and Nature Management (2016) from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

During her Ph.D. project with the title "The importance of wild bee pollinators from a macroecological and environmental economics perspective", she analysed the importance of bees and other pollinators for food production systems, exemplified by both a field and a meta-study of Arabica coffee pollination. The project further involved a environmental economic study of public preferences for wild bee conservation projects of citizens in Germany.
She has experiences in remote data collection methods, using systematic literature reviews and satellite imagery to extract forest data, as well as creating and managing large databases for meta-analyses.

In her Masters education, she developed a special interest in forest ecology, restoration and nature conservation, including aspects of political ecology and social equity.

She has collected experiences from numerous fieldwork and employment periods abroad, which shaped her both personally and professionally. Finally, she has a special interest in conflict management and non-violent communication and holds a certificate from the Macquaire Graduate School of Management in negotiation and conflict resolution.
