Scientific Project Manager for the 4-year Horizon Europe funded project BlueAdapt (GA 101057764), consisting of a consortium of 12 European partners. Responsible for managing financial, administrative and logistical aspects of the project at the consortium level, organization of project meetings, and managing all interactions/communication between the European Commission, the project coordinator and project consortium partners, as well as the external advisory board and internal/external specialists on ethical and legal aspects.

Doctorate in Marine Biosciences from the University of Delaware, U.S.A. Postdoctoral research work at the University of California, Merced/University of North Carolina, Wilmington, USA. Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the University of Valencia, Spain. Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) in Valencia, Spain.

Research background in studying environmental/physicochemical factors involved in the proliferation and toxicity of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) in coastal waters, characterization and optimization of microbial communities affecting contaminant removal efficiency in air purifying biofilters, effects of diet and lifestyle factors on the human gut microbiome and physiological and immunological functions.
