Under climate projections, many terrestrial ecosystems are likely to shift, impacting future land use, regional biodiversity and the communities that rely on them for their livelihoods.

Forestry and agriculture are sectors that offer real potential for the world’s rural poor to participate in the climate adaptation/mitigation strategies that directly affect them. Therefore, research on how to integrate mitigation and adaptation policy into development policy within sectoral frameworks is essential and of long term interest”.
