Short CV

Dr Maria Loroño Leturiondo is a postdoc researcher as part of the European Research Council project IMAGINE Adaptation. She is interested in designing environmentally sustainable and socially just cities, as well as climate governance and citizen participation. She has a background in communication, public relations, and psychology. She has a PhD Public Engagement with Climate Change (Manchester Metropolitan University, 2019), where she explored citizens perception of air pollution, as well as a gendered approach to sustainable urban environments. She also holds a MA in Cognition and Communication (University of Copenhagen, 2015), and MA in Online communication and a BA Public Relations (University of the Basque Country, 2011). She is passionate about science communication, and she has participated in multiple science festivals and public events. She also really enjoys visual communication, and she is currently writing a book about qualitative data visualisation (SAGE).
