Short CV

Jenn Rose is working on the BEEWARE Project under the supervision of Dr. Ainhoa Magrach. She recently completed her MSc in Nature Management at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark where she focused on insect conservation and biodiversity. For her thesis, she investigated the taxonomic status of Bermuda’s sole leafcutter bee Megachile pruina by exploring its origins through comparative genetic analysis.

She developed a special interest in pollinator communities while working as a landscape gardener in California and Wyoming, USA. This experience followed her BSc from the University of California, Berkeley where she worked in the Urban Bee Lab monitoring wild bee diversity in urban and agricultural settings. She is an avid field hockey player and enjoys hiking and road tripping with her dog in her free time.
