Short CV

Encarna graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Seville and obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies of the PhD program in Plant Biology at the same University.

She enjoyed a three-year scholarship in the Phytopathology Department of Agrarian Research Center IFAPA Las Torres-Tomejil in Seville to develop techniques for the control of soil pathogens that grow tracheomycosis in the plant. Then, she had worked 11 years as a technical assistant in the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Seville, where she had participated in several projects related with the effect of habitat fragmentation on mediterranean woody species, and the phylogenetic relationships and ecological niche evolution of Helianthemum (Cistaceae).

She is currently working at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3)
as a Technical Assistant to study plant-pollinator interaction in the region of Doñana.
