Short CV

Manuel Tomás is a Junior Researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change and is developing his Ph.D. Thesis in Economics (Tools of Economic Analysis) at the University of the Basque Country. He holds a BSc in Economics (2018) and an MSc in Sustainable Growth and Development (2019). He has also worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2019). His research focuses on modelling consumer behaviour using different economic models (e.g., micro-simulation, input-output and CGE models) to assess the distributional, macroeconomic and environmental effects of energy and climate policies. He has produced several scientific publications and disseminated them at national and international conferences. His expertise includes the handling of large databases, economic modelling and the application of statistical and econometric techniques using various software tools such as R, Stata, MATLAB, or GAMS. Over the last four years, he has worked on several national and international research projects.
