Short CV
Manuel Tomás is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of the Basque Country (2025). He completed his Bachelor's degree in Economics (2018), followed by a Master's degree in Sustainable Growth and Development (2019). He has held academic roles as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2019) and as a Visiting Assistant in Research at Yale University (2023). His research explores consumer behaviour through various economic modelling approaches—such as microsimulation, input-output, and computable general equilibrium models—to assess the economic, environmental, and social impacts of energy and climate policies.
