Short CV
My work is focused on examining the relationship between the environment and human well-being. In particular, I have focused on the design and use of economic instruments such as Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) and their effects on local populations. The methodologies I use for my research include econometric and statistical analyses, deliberative valuation methods, field experiments, and surveys. I have also worked in other research areas such as ecological discounting and environmental finance mechanisms (green bonds). I have carried out field work in Colombia where I worked with indigenous communities looking for sustainable solutions to improve water management in the paramo ecosystem.
I am also a Fellow in the "Values Assessment" being carried out by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
