Short CV
Dr. Yoro Sidibé received a MSc in agricultural economics and a MSc in water and environmental engineering in 2009. He received a Phd in agricultural economics in 2012. He was a teaching assistant at the University of Montpellier (2009-2012) for undergraduate students (Statistics and Mathematics).
In his Phd, he studied specific nonlinear pricing models that may be used to meet irrigation water management objectives such as cost recovery, water use efficiency and equity. His research focuses on climate change and the variability of water resources.
He contributed to the NOVIWAM European project on integrated water management in the Mediterranean Area. He also participated in national projects including APPEAU on agricultural and water resources modeling and RISECO on water scarcity and drought risk problem analysis.
Prior to joining BC3, He worked at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) where he used simulation analysis to study the role of alternative water pricing systems in the adaptation to climate change.
