Short CV

Víctor Martínez is an economist (UPV/EHU) with a master's degree in Globalization and Development (UPV/EHU) who is interested in the dynamics within social-ecological systems and in social-ecological transitions towards multidimensional sustainability. He considers economics as a tool for social transformation and has special interest in food systems, having developed his master thesis (as a guest researcher in BC3) in the field of the relationship between climate change and recent dynamics of the Spanish food system.

Víctor is currently working in the European Horizon 2030 SWITCH (Switching European food systems for a just, healthy and sustainable dietary transition through knowledge and innovation), which aims to change dietary patterns among European citizenship so that food systems become more just and sustainable both with life and the biosphere.
