Short CV

Laila Vivas is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and is currently an FPI fellow within BC3. Her research activity revolves around environmental justice and scale, integrating critical and ecofeminist perspectives in order to understand environmental (in)justice from a systemic, decolonial and ecosocial viewpoint. Thus, viewing interactions across different scales and dimensions.

Laila graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Barcelona and studied a Master's Degree on International Studies in the University of the Basque Country. Throughout these studies she integrated interdisciplinary perspectives, focusing on bioethics, environment, and human rights. She has also worked in socio-environmental issues, applying these transversal and integrated perspectives. Additionally, Laila takes part in social movements and collaborative actions at a local level, also conveying other forms of thinking, feeling, and doing, such as those that are awoken through the arts.
